8th Grade Summer Math Work

 

 

To help you maintain and improve your math skills over the summer, we would like you to complete topics on ALEKS.com.  Your child will be assigned an Aleks account that will be activated on July 1st. Their current “pilot” account will expire on June 26th.  All students will be given their new username/password the week of June 16th. If your child does not have this new username/password, you may call the main office to obtain it.  It is the expectation that 2 hours minimum should be spent working on Aleks per week throughout the summer. Students should be mastering between 10-15 topics per week between now and September.

Your child’s account will be monitored throughout the summer by their current teacher and students will be moved to more challenging levels once they complete 90% of their current level. In the fall, their new account will be transferred to their new teacher and will be their assigned account for the 2014-2015 school year.
